Ethical Standards

Members are expected to maintain high ethical standards in both their professional and personal lives.  Additionally, members are expected to work and live by “The Rotary Four-WayTest” which states:

Of all the things we say and do…

1. Is it the truth?

2. Is it fair to all concerned?

3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?

4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Meeting Attendance

We meet in the Atrium at St. Mary’s Hospital at 7:30am every Thursday morning. Weekly meetings generally last for an hour. We ask that members attend at least 50% of meetings. Every fifth Thursday evening we plan a fun ‘fellowship’ event because membership includes getting to know other club members (and letting them get to know you) and not just at morning meetings! If you happen to be out of town and must miss our club meeting, Rotary Clubs all over the world will open their doors to you. Visiting another club counts as attending our weekly meeting.

Membership

Club Participation

Members of our club are encouraged to participate in as many club functions, fundraisers, activities, service projects and fellowship events as possible. Every member can decide for themselves what is of most interest personally. Club motto: a club of committed members who really enjoy time spent together (i.e. having fun!) can make a big difference in this world.

As part of this global network of community volunteers, we have the full support of all Rotarians, locally, nationally and internationally.  We work closely with our District Leadership to ensure we meet criteria laid down by Rotary International, while still keeping the character of our own Breakfast Club. By having these early morning meetings in a casual setting we hope to attract those of you who have a busy lifestyle, but still want to volunteer and make an impact on our community, our region and also on the national and international level.  Through membership in Rotary you will be given endless opportunities to change the lives of those around you.
